Dear
Hoosier Boys State Delegate:
Congratulations on your selection to attend Hoosier Boys State! The
staff of Hoosier Boys State looks forward to welcoming you to the campus
of Indiana State University, Terre Haute, home of Hoosier Boys State. We
are honored to have you!
You
will receive, if you haven't already, the Hoosier Boys State booklet, “A
Week To Shape A Lifetime,” and other informational materials on the
Hoosier Boys State program. PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY. I
encourage you to review the information with your parents, as there are
many items of interest to them regarding Hoosier Boys State.
We
want to remind you that you must bring your own linen sheets, pillow
case and light blanket (if cool weather is forecast) with you. You will
also want to bring paper, pen, small fan and an alarm clock. Poster
board or paper and markers for making campaign materials should be
brought with you.
Please
note that registration is from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, in Mills
Hall. The first meeting will begin at 1:30 PM, so it is very important
that all delegates arrive on time.
If you
find that AT ANY TIME before the start of Hoosier Boys State you will be
unable to attend for any reason, please contact the Hoosier Boys State
office AT ONCE. Your prompt notification will enable the selection of
an alternate to take your place. If you know who your alternate is,
please notify him immediately to enable him to begin to make
arrangements to attend. Failure to notify the HBS office that you will
not be attending may result in the loss of your $300 enrollment fee to
The American Legion Post or community organization sponsoring you.
If you
or your parents have any questions regarding Hoosier Boys State, please
contact the Hoosier Boys State office at (317) 630-1264. The HBS office
is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Please check us
