Finding Your Way Around Town
   ALL ROADS IN INDIANA

   LEAD TO HIGH GROUND!

Terre Haute is French for

"High Ground."
The roads to Terre Haute produce the same result:arrival at the Indiana State University and Hoosier Boys' State Campus.  For all practical purposes, consider the area from Chestnut on the north to U.S. 40 on the south and from 3rd Street (U.S. 41) on the west to 7th Street on the east.  Within that small grid H.B.S. spreads its entire program.

Getting a little closer ...

You will come to

CHESTNUT STREET and turn

EAST toward the four tall

buildings that dominate

the campus skyline!  Take note

that 4th street is one-way

south and 5th street is one-way

north.  Also, 6th

street stops at

Burford Hall

... a good place to unload baggage, however. Parking lots across 4th street alongside Cromwell and Rhoads halls and along the south side of Cromwell and Blumberg are quite adequate for all practical purposes.  Parking permits will be issued as needed by the delegates who have a vehicle on campus during HBS.  Lots are patrolled by university police.
